Lucy is a young girl who has cerebral palsy. She can only use one arm and that makes eating her favourite yoghurts a bit tricky.
To help, Kay Dee designed a holder with a tapered hole which gently grips the pot allowing her to enjoy the yoghurt without needing help.
Once Lucy was happy that it worked we made a series of different sizes to accommodate different sizes of pots.
“It was a really small-scale example of what we do every day. There was a problem, we helped design a solution, made some tooling and then made some parts in different colours and hardnesses until the client, Lucy, was happy.”
